Horses
on the move: It was with great sadness that I sold my
lovely boy Paint the Stars of Astral. I have so many young ones
to go on with so it was time for Tassie to find another young
rider to partner up with. Sarah Adams is the lucky new owner and
I hear Tassie is being very spoilt and pampered in his new home!
I wish Sarah all the best of luck with this wonderful horse, I'm
sure they will get on well together.
LJS
Fairtime (Annie) has also been sold to Di Jose of Salisbury Stud.
Di plans to breed with her, hopefully many future Champions! We
have still retained two of Annie's daughters, Top Deck and Angelina
as well as one colt.
Kimberely
Park Miss Kim has been leased out to have another foal, can't
wait to see this one! Due in 2007.
Sparky
has also been leased out to one of my long time students Niamh
Ramsay who is doing great work with him and plans to start pony
club with him in 2006.
Most
of you will have noticed that Harry is no longer with us- he died
peacefully in his paddock in October. This was a very sad time
for me and especially all the kids who have learnt to ride on
Harry over the years- he was a very special soul who always gave
his all and had unending patience with all our riders. Horses
like Harry don't come along very often, we were all lucky to have
known him. RIP Harry and we love you and miss you alot.
On
a brighter note congratulations to all our riders who are doing
well in competition. Java Jacobson recently attended her first
Jamboree and won several ribbons including her first blue. Well
done Java!! (pictured right)
Don't
forget to enrol for our upcoming camps- sleepover camp is going
to be so awesome this year, I can't wait! And of course the 2006
Redlands Show!!
March
Grand
Nationals 2005: Paint the Stars of Astral was awarded Grand National
Galloway of the Year for 2005 under UK judge! More news and pics
to follow soon!
Feburary
Pacific
Coast Hack Championships 2004: Tassie was awarded Runner up Large
Galloway which qualifies him again for the 2005 Grand Nationals!
What a star.
I had a lovely Christmas break and all our camps went really well.
We had a great time riding as well as shopping, ice skating, watching
movies and swimming at the beach. Turns out I really can cook
after all- who knew? Who could forget these classic moments? Caitlin's
big stack at the ice skating rink! Our 'yummy' cupcakes!, The
ha ha game! (It so was funny!), The frozen tee-shirt game!, The
boiled egg game! Mel freaking out watching Scary Movie (It's a
comedy, Mel!!) Running amuck through Erina Fair!, Mikaela's sexy
shoes! Mel's sunburn! Caitlin's triumphant fall in the jumping!
The little anouncement over the loudspeaker at the ice skating
rink! Peta being a fish! Going into the chocolate shop and just
not buying anything! Java's glove stuck on the rein!!!! Mel's
love affair with Ice Cream! Michelle's super shopping skills and
looking super cool in all those hats! The sunscreen song! Drinking
V and Maison!
More

Congratulations

Congratulations also to Garry who has just got his first horse
too- the 4yo gelding Bailey. Hello to Niamh who has gone to Ireland
for a term- hope to see you and Lil back soon! Yasmin has also
gotten a new horse to keep Syd company- the thoroughbred mare
Mary. I hear there's been many horse riding parties up that end
of Avoca Beach!
